Christal Wilson

Christal Wilson is an undergrad at Howard University. She is a student of the Africana Studies program with a concentration in Afro American Studies. She hopes to continue her studies at grad school where she can further explore black humanities and pursue her childhood dream of becoming an author. A native Arlingtonian, she appreciates local history and culture.

Northwest D.C.'s Dunbar High School transcended humble beginnings in the basement of a church to become, as W.E.B. DuBois' The Crisis put it, the "greatest negro high school in the world." It's mission towards black academic excellence made it the alma mater of many prominent African Americans.
